What is Vacation Rental Networks?

VRN is a database of vacation rentals such as private homes, condos and resort weeks that are owned by private owners. As the owner you are contacted directly by the potential renter. VRN brings owners and renters together. The owner makes all the arrangements with the renter.

How does VRN work?

Simple! Each Vacation Rental owner has a listing that describes his or her property. Each listing shows several photos of the property, an availability calendar, rental rates, contact information and property amenities. To search for a rental property, you simply click on the area you want to vacation in on our home page and then click on the city. A list of properties in that city will be displayed. You can also do an advanced search by preferences. This is located on the home page on the right-hand side. You can search for a property by number of bedrooms, prices, kid-friendly, pet-friendly etc. You can e-mail the owner by clicking on e-mail owner. Some owners have listed their phone numbers and you can call them directly.

Do I need to join VRN to rent or view properties?

No, VRN is absolutely free! Potential Renters View Free! There are no sign-up fees to view and inquire about vacation rental properties. You contact the owners directly by e-mail or by phone and make all arrangements directly with the owner/manager.

Does VRN Verify the property or information?

VRN strongly suggests that before paying any money, you should have a telephone conversation with the owner. You should ask the owner for a rental agreement and contract. Have a list of questions for the owner that you need to have answered and ask for anything in writing that you think is necessary. Get all contact information. Ask the owner for references from previous renters.

VRN accepts no responsibility for claims made by property owners in regards to their property listing.

How do I find a property?

To view a property go the homepage and click on the area on the map that you are interested in. A list of cities will be shown -- then click on the city. The available rentals will be displayed. Click on the property you wish to view. You can also use the advance search on the home page on the upper right-hand side to view properties that fit your needs. Simply check the criteria that you need and properties with the criteria you choose will be displayed. Click on the thumbnails to view larger images. This icon appears for photos Once you have the property number you can view it at another time by typing the property number in the property listing number on the home page.

How do I contact an owner to inquire about a property or to hold a property?

To contact an owner for information, availability, or to reserve the property, simply click on the "e-mail owner" button. Some owners have their phone number listed. Or if you would like to send inquiries to multiple owners, click "save listing" for each property that interests you. When you are finished browsing properties, click on "Saved Listings" in the top right corner of the screen. All the properties you saved will be listed and you will have the option to contact the owner of each property, entering your contact information only once.

How do I inquire about availability?

If the owner has a calendar there will be a calendar icon . Click on the icon and you will be able to view the calendar and check for availability. If the owner does not have the calendar icon you will have to inquire about availability to the owner directly by e-mail or phone.

How do I make payment to the owner for a Vacation Rental?

You and the owner will make arrangements for payment. If the owner accepts credit cards this icon will be on the listing. Some owners accept cashier checks, personal checks, MO, wire transfers and Pay Pal. You will have to contact the owner directly.

Do you sell my e-mail information to other companies?

How do I know that a rental property is legitimate?

You need to get to know the owner. You should have a telephone conversation with the owner. You should ask the owner for a rental agreement and contract. Can I view a property just by the listing number?

Yes, each property has a listing #. When viewing a property that you want to view at a later time, write the listing number down. On the home page where it says listing # type in the number and click on submit and it will take you to the listing.

Is there a way to view a larger picture?

Click on the thumbnail and it will take you to a larger photo. To return to the property page exit the photo.

What is the guestbook?

The guestbook is a log allowing those who have stayed previously in the rental property to comment on their experience. This gives you the opportunity to get a first-hand opinion of those who have stayed in the property before.

Can I search for a property that fits my needs?

From the home page you can conduct an advanced search that allows you to choose the criteria that are most important to you. For instance, you can choose only "no smoking" and "handicapped accesible" properties. Or if you already know the number of the listing, you can enter that and go directly to the property description.
